EPW - Arnold & Lewis, Late Simmons, 7 St. Anns Square, Manchester, high grade free-sprung lever fusee with helical hairspring, 55mm, heavy 18K gold original demi-HC bearing London hallmarks for 1873, "C G" marking in oval cameo for casemaker Caroline Green, white enamel SS dial with seconds-register at 9, SW-pin-set with button on band at 4 to engage winding mechanism operated by turning crown in reverse direction, fully capped lever escapement, likely 19J, gilt mvt, s#3054 with matching serial number within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 94.7 dwt (147.2 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, gilt plates with few micro-fine scratches and some slight haze in areas; dial with some patched edge chipping and fractures between 3 and 4; excellent hands; case shows light wear, very slight ding to bottom of rear, small loss of blue enameling to outer ring of demi-lid marking; tight bow, crown shows light wear; good glass crystals.
